No picture in start menu

Thanks to everyone who answered my plea for help.I have discovered the cause
for my picure disappearing.I was using a picture of my grandson for my
desktop and not one of the windows themes.When I changed the desktop,the
picture appeared.Thanks again everybody.

That happens when you use a Classic Login

I was not using the classic logon.I was using the xp style.Somehow I am able
to use the picture of my grandson as my desktop theme and I have his picture
next to my name in the start menu.
