Friend, this newsgroup is for asking questions about Microsoft Access,
the database product. Your problem is nothing to do with Microsoft
Access, the database product. You're just as likely to get an answer in
rec.scuba, or uk.railways!

If you bought a PC, and you were told that it would come with Microsoft
Office, you should go back to the person whom you bought it from, and
complain to them.

Alternatively, if you bought a PC, and you ASSUMED that it would come
with Micosoft Office, then you have made a mistake. Your assumption was
WRONG. That's tough luck! You should have ASKED, before you bought it.
This is th common principle of "buyer beware". It is your
responsibility - not the seller's - to make sure that you are getting
what you think you are getting!

Either way, there is nothing that we can do, in this group, to solve
your problem. This group is not a storefront for purchasing copies of
Microsoft Office.

Here's what I suggest you do.

(1) Go to your local computer shop;
(2) Ask to buy a copy of Microsoft Office;
(3) Hand over the payment required;
(4) Ask them to install it on your PC, then
(5) Go home satisfied.

I can't see anything else that we could possibly suggest to you.

So? Office is a separate product: the fact that you have Windows XP
installed has nothing to do with whether or not Office was supposed to be
included.

Sounds as though you're going to have to buy Office if you want it.
