No more pictures

The pictures on web pages are gone. All I see in their place is a small
square with three colored dots in it. How can I restore to get back the
pictures?

In IE, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Multimedia section and make sure the box "Show Pictures" is
ticked.

Thats the one. I don't know how it got disabled.
