Recently my main partition on my hard drive got
courupted. So i linked up the hard drive from another
machine and used some file recovery tools to copy all the
files onto that hard drive. I then formatted the courpted
one and copied all the files back.
Windows starts up allright, but where the logon screen
would usually show up, it's just black so you cant logon,
the cursor shows up but you can't move it. I tried
restoring the logonui.exe file from the other computer,
but it didn't change anything.
Any suggestions?

If you formatted the problem drive, clean installed Windows (with no
peripherals connected) and the installation appear to go well, and are
still having difficulties, I'd suspect a failing drive. Run a
diagnostic utility downloaded from the drive mftr.'s website to
determine whether your hard drive is viable or not.

actually, i didn't do a clean install, i just copied all
the files that i rescued before i formatted. I can see
the drive from the other drive connected, i can get to
all the files, but it just freezes.
In the post before, i said that you can't move the mouse,
actually, you can
