No keyboard or mouse

I have windows xp home. I attached an older keyboard and
mouse to my computer and installed the software drivers,
not realizing that the disk was for win95. Upon restart
the keyboard and mouse were not working. I don't know
how to get around this as i have no working keyboard or
mouse. Tried plugging in my original keyboard and mouse
but still no go. Obviously I think i overwrote my
drivers but how do i get this fixed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried to run a Windows XP Repair? Not Recovery
Console but Repair

When you boot, can you hit the trigger key (F1, Esc, whatever) to enter
BIOS? If so, can you use the keyboard to navigate its screens? If so,
the keyboard is working.

Have you tried to boot Windows into its Safe mode? That would actually
mean the keyboard is working because you have to select Safe mode using
the keyboard (after hitting F8 if you don't have it configured to show
the boot menu). Once in Safe mode, does the keyboard work? If so, go
into Device Manager and change the driver to the standard PS/2 keyboard
device and reboot.
