No images - What am I doing wrong??

Hi - I'm a Frontpage and web building virgin.
I've designed my webpages on Frontpage 2003 and all links etc work
perfectly when I test them.
I published the site and everything works apart from the images.
Where there sould be an image there is a blank space with a small box
in the top left hand corner of that space containing a red diagonal
cross.
I'm using Jpegs and none of them have huge file sizes.
Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong would be welcomed.

In FP click Open and type in the dialog boc your URL e.g. http://www.
etc. and click to open you site. Once open check that all links are
intact if they are and the images still do not show then try one at a
time to Inset - Picture - Images - *.jpg to you image location.

Did you first File | Import the images into your open FP web before
inserting them on a page and saving?

I am using FrontPage2002,under WindowsXP. I have also the similar problem in
putting some images on to Web. Actually, I can put most of the images on,
but only some of them did not appear on the web after being published. I got
the images with the same camera and at the same time with the same way. Why
most images work, but a few do not? I tried the method Tome Willett
suggested, but it did not work. I appreciate any further help

Thanks for both of those comments - I will try them just as soon as my
day slows down and get a little less hectic.

Switch to HTML view on a page/image that works and copy the tag that
starts with <img src=".... > (copy from the left arrow to the right)
and post the text here. Do the same with one that does not work and
post that too.

With FP I usually find that it has messed up or allowed you to mess up
one of the URL references. It's sometimes your fault, sometimes a FP
shortcoming that does it - but looking at the HTML usually helps to
pin down what is wrong.

I have very little experience in working with tags. I tried the way you said
but it did not work. Maybe I did not work in a right way. Any other way that
I could try? Thanks!

Just seeing this for the first time have not see all the responses but I may
have an idea.

If by chance the images all work on your home machine but not the internet
this is probably the reason.

Windows is not case sensitive but unix is. Most web hosts use unix servers.
Basically what this means is if you have your code pointed to "myimage.jpg"
but the image is actually "myimage.Jpg" or "myimage.JPG" unix will see each
of those as a different file. So just set your computer in folder options to
show extinsions for known file types and check this out.

Good Luck

Thanks for having more people trying to help me. Actually, the problem I
have is that I can publish most images to the internet, but not all. For
example, under http://www.cabctrade.com/terveystuotteet.htm, you can see
three places are empty with red cross on the left top corner. These three
images that were not appear on the internet were taken with the same camare
as those images that are present already in the web page. And, all the
images were processed in the same way under Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0.
The images are with .jpg extensions. I wonder why it could be like this.

I have been puzzled by this problem for a long time, and I do wish some one
could help me to work out. Thanks!

I think I know what is wrong.

I checked out the site. Below I will list all of your links.
The three images that do not work all have one thing in comon. I will
explain. The links image path below works for all but the ones with
the ----after them I put the ---.

Each of those three images has the letter a in the image name with an accent
mark above it. The server can not under stand the accent mark. Change the
name of the pictures to someting without the accent marked a. Then change
the name in your web page and it should work just fine.

I also noticed the one with the word foot has a %20 in the name. Please put
an underscore between the words and change the path on your site too so the
browser don't have to put the %20 in. It will load faster.

I wish I understood the whole page but since I don't speak the language I
don't, but atleast it appears to me to be a site to purchace foot care
products and since your selling in your country not mine just being able to
figure out your issue made me happy.

Good luck
