What could be causing the default ie icon from not showing in the address bar whenever I go to any website, it's just blank. I had no problem with this until I upgraded to Office 2003, could there be a link?(I know the favicons don't show up because of a glich in ie but the default icon usually show instead

It is possible. For more clarity, create:

1. A website shortcut in the Desktop [.URL]
2. A HTML file [say, bookmark.htm]

How do the icons look like, now? This information might help in removing the icon handler for the appropriate registry key.
