No ICS check box available??

I am hoping someone can help. One day my laptops quit connecting to the
internet. My Desktop still has an internet connection though. My router seems
fine too. When I went into my LAN connection and clicked on the advanced tab,
I noticed that the section that usually has the ICS information and check box
was completely blank! Where did it go? When I went through the Network Setup
and selected the option that states other computers will access the internet
through this one, an error occurred and the setup could not finish.

Any advice on how to get the ICS options back?
