no icon on html or htm files

I seem to have lost the IE icon from all my htm and html files.
I have gone to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and tried
applying a reg fix but it doesn't help.
All i have is a plain icon where normallly there is an icon showing the file
association.
If I change the html associationit to another browser I still get no icon
Help would br gratefully received

Hi Buddy,
You may try these steps:

(1) Open My computer
(2) Click on "Tools" -> "Folder Options"
(3) Goto "File Types" Tab
(4) Locate "HTM" and "HTML" in the list after the list
comes up
(5) For both the entries, follow steps 6 onwards:
(6) Select "HTM", then Click on "Advanced" button
(7) Click on "Change Icon" button
(8) Click on "Browse"
(9) Select the location of the file
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" in the
box and click "Open" button
(10) Then select the icon you want and then keep
clicking "OK" buttons until you are back to "My Computer"

Best of Luck,
