No Global Catalog

I recently moved the Global catalog from one server to
another and now no Domain Controller is broadcasting ast a
GC. I've run DCDiag and got the following errors. Thanks
in advance

Starting test: Advertising
Warning: SERVER1 has not finished promoting to be a GC.
Check the event log for domains that cannot be replicated.
Warning: SERVER1 is not advertising as a global catalog.
Check that server finished GC promotion.
Check the event log on server that enough source replicas
for the GC are available.
.......................... SERVER1 failed test Advertising

Running enterprise tests on : domain.com
Starting test: FsmoCheck
Warning: DcGetDcName(GC_SERVER_REQUIRED) call failed,
error 1355
A Global Catalog Server could not be located - All GC's
are down.
.......................... domain.com failed test FsmoCheck

did you go to sites and services and see if any servers are set to a GC ?
Maybe the move didn't take

Before anyone replies I figured out the problem. In order
to move a Global Catalog the DC needs to communicate this
to all the other DCs in the domain. So what happened was:
Server1 was assuming that ServerA was in the "domain.com"
domain and was trying to connect to it at
ServerA.domain.com, when in actuallity it was at
ServerA.group.com. I put a new Forward Lookup Zone and
Host in DNS for ServerA and all works fine. That's about
it... later.

Hi Marcus,

It sounds like you have demoted the first GC and set the option to promote
another one before it completed replication. But in any event, you will want
to ensure that this DC/GC can replicate successfully with at least one DC in
every domain in your forest. If not, please paste in the error(s).
