No fonts in Access2002

Both at home and at work, on Access, when I go:
tools->opions->datasheet->default font->font
I don't see any fonts in the dropdown. All Arabic data
fields from Access97 tables appear corrupt on AccessXP.
Here's what I have:
Access (from OfficeXP)
Win XP, localized to Arabic

This problem does not happen with OfficeXP on Win98

Appreciate any clues.

One of the possible cause is that you have too many fonts installed in
windows. See the Microsoft KB article:
