default font gone missing

R

Rene

somehow my default font is gone and every table has an
awfull look to it. When accessing
the 'TOOLS/OPTIONS/DATASHEET' screen there's no default
font visible and the dropdown list for selection of a
font is empty. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Rene.

Cause may be too many fonts loaded into your Fonts folder. When you exceed
the "size" limitation for ACCES, the fonts disappear from the dropdown list.Try deleting one font at a time and check the dropdown list. When you've
deleted the "magic" last one, the list will suddenly reappear!

I just started having the same problem. I haven't added any new fonts, so I'm
not sure that is the issue. I will try the deletion of fonts and let you know
how it goes.

I have this same problem. I saw this post and tried deleting some fonts. I
Deleted about 1/3 of my fonts and it didn't fix the problem. (I hadn't
installed any new fonts prior to the problem happening - just suddenly my
tables and queries had this weird font on them.) Any other ideas?

The problem can occur suddenly even if you've not installed more fonts.
Don't know the exact cause, but it has happened to me without warning. I had
to delete a lot of fonts, and then, after the font list returned, I was able
to restore many of the fonts that I'd deleted.

Keep going is my recommendation until the list returns.

Thanks, Ken. That is very strange, but after I had deleted about half my
fonts it finally let me set the default datasheet font again.

Thanks again for your help.
