Hi - Can someone tell me why the FAX in Windows XP won't
recognize my new DSL modem? It keeps telling me I have to
have a modem installed. I've reinstalled the FAX portion
of XP twice and it still doesn't find my modem. Can't use
the FAX. Thanks very much -

Leslie

Leslie,
Fax is an analogue telephony service, and DSL is a digital telephony
service, and never the twain shall meet.
I've heard there are some websites that allow you to basically send an email
which they will then fax onwards for you.
Or you can try connecting via the probably redundant 56K modem if your PC
has one fitted when you want to fax.

Leslie;
Does your FAX application support DSL?
Contact the application manufacturer.
