Is it possible to add fax, which somehow setup did not install. With all
service packs installed, repair would corrupt the installation. Any advice
would be appreciated.

I run into this off and on. Don't know why it happens but it does. First you want to make sure you have a FAX Modem. Then go to Services for the FAX Service and do this. Set startup to automatic. Set Recovery to try again all three. Then try to start the service manually. It will probably start but turn off. You can tell by hitting Refresh. Do this three times while holding your right-big toe at a 90-degree angle to your left ankle. Reboot. DON'T MOVE YOUR TOE. Actually it should start working after you reboot a few times and make sure the FAX Service has started and continues to Run. The big-toe stuff? Well take it or leave it.
