No Emulation

MY computer was running with an OS of 2000 and XP. Some
softwares are not compatible with 2000 so I immediately
installed windows 98. Then i try to install windows xp but
the setup closes. I try to boot it but it says no
emulation. what am i going to do?

Emulation would probably refer to the bootable CD.
