Hello,
connectng to a remote desktop on an XP machine works well, but since some
time there is no drive mapping any more. Are there any services to start or
any entries in regedit perhaps ?

There are group policies that may preclude you accessing drives...To quote
the XP Resource Kit...'you can disable file redirection using the
"Do not allow drive redirection" Terminal Services Group Policy.'
