No displayadapter after SP2 upgrade

I am using an ABS M5^64 AMD 64 with ASUS A8V Deluxe motherboard and GeForce
FX graphics card. Now after the upgrade to XP Pro SP2 from XP Pro, there is
no dsiplay adapter in device manager. It seems XP SP2 installed a generic
graphics card VgaSave with non-plug-n-play drivers. I installed the graphics
card display driver updates from the manufacturer but still did not work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. ABS was totally clueless and had no
solution expcept send another grpahics card that XP SP2 still did not
reconize.

Cheers,

That's built-in VGA driver that comes up in SAFE mode
when u dont load Display Adapters.

nVidia is tricky but I found doing everything in SAFE
mode (F8 when u choose OS on booting) greatly increases
chance of success.

Now have ATA 256MB card- much better/easier.

Any advise is my attempt to contribute more than I have received but I can only assure you that it works on my PC. GOOD LUCK.
