No Display in the Folder List

Hi,

I want to organize my files and folders in FrontPage 2000
locally. But when I am in Folder view I can not see
anything there. Only one message on the right side
says "When a Web is open, this view lets you organize its
files and folder." Please help me out.

Thanks.

Actually I have already tried that. It is working when I
am editing the web page directly into FrontPage by taking
this option 'Edit with Microsoft FrontPage'. In this case
I can see Folder, Reports, Navigation, Hyperlinks,
Tasks... etc. But It shows nothing when I am working on
the page which is saved in my hard drive however I have
also opened the web page at the same time. I hope I am
able to explain my problem.
Thanks

You must open the web that contains the physical page you wish to work on.
Open FrontPage.
From the Menu, choose FIle - Open Web
Browse to the folder on your Hard Disc (in the Look in: column select either
"My Documents" or "My Computer") that contains the page you wish to edit,
and click Open.
FrontPage may offer to convert the folder to a web - accept that offer.
The web will open and you will see the folders and files - and the page you
wish to edit.

WARNING
When doing it that way be very careful which folder you select to convert to a web!
If you select My Computer or My Documents (and convert to web) you will hose your PC

Make sure it is a lower level folder w/ only the files you really want in the web
Better still, in Windows Explorer move your lower level folder to a top level folder w/o any spaces in the folder name - say
C:\MyWeb, and FP will be much "happier" about maintaining link in disc based webs
