Moving/Organizing Files and Pages within FP

G

Guest

I am trying to re-organize the pages and files within my website. I'm doing
it within FrontPage, using the Folders View.
I'm using the cut-and-paste method.
No files are open.
The web is open.

However, when I do this, save it, and upload it, the links are not updated
like they should be. What am I doing wrong?

Are you getting the prompt about recalculate hyperlinks when you cut/paste?
Try Drag/Drop see if that makes a difference.

You should get a warning that FP needs to recalculate hyperlinks...ok? Yes..

I just tried to drag-and-drop and it's still not working. No warning, and
the links are not being updated on my index page.

How are you "uploading"?

Post the URL to the web here.

Do NOT use Copy and Paste, as that will not update link references, you need to drag the page
between folders.

The only way to fix this issue is copy all of the page back their original location, run tool
recalculate hyperlinks, then drag them to the correct location.

Wow....I've got some work ahead of me! Thanks for the response. I'll copy
everything back where it should go and let you know what happens.
