hi. it takes a long time for my laptop to load during start up so i deided to
run msconfig and selected Diagnostic Startup. i wasn't able to create a
restore point, unfortunately. when i tried to use winamp an error message
occured stating that i need to install a correct cudio device. this has not
happened before even if i choose selective startup or if i terminate some
processes in the task manager. i reverted back to Normal Startup in msconfig
and restarted my pc. however, the winamp problem still occured as well as on
other applications. i checked on Audio Devices in the control panel and it
says No Audio Device. I checked the Device Manager and it is empty: no
drivers, no hardware or anything. I tried running Help and Support in the
Start Menu but I got an error message stating that Help Support "can't be
loaded bacause some services are disabled". I would appreciate very much if
you can help me with this problem without reformatting my PC. thank you
