A vet friend has a modified Dell desktop ( original Dell that had a non Dell
motherboard replacement after a lightning strike) that tried to update XP PE
SP1 with SP2. The system has 3 accounts on it, one his (an administrator)
and two limited for his wife and daughter. The system was running fine prior
to the SP2 upgrade.
After the upgrade (occurs with no problems noted), the computer desktop
icons are all missing on his desktop, but not on the other two limited
accounts. When he boots into safemode, he sees all his icons for his
desktop.
Any ideas on what to do to fix this problem? He has Norton AV 2003 on his
system. All other software is the usual. He has a Adelphia cable broadband
but uses AOL Broadband for his Internet needs.
