No data transimitted in custom forms

I've created a custom form based on the existing email form. I created
user-defined fields and dragged/dropped them from the field chooser. I
believe doing it this way binds the control to the field. I also choose the
"Send form definition ... " check box. I then published this form to my
Personal Forms Library. I have Outlook 2002 SP3. I then choose the form, fill
in the fields with data and send it to another user. The recipient (ME
recipient) can see the form but no data. I can send the form to myself and I
can see the data. I don't know what I'm missing. I've done this in the past
but don't know what I'm missing now.

I want to add that I've ensured the controls are bound to the fields. I
created all new custom fields in the field chooser and dragged them to the
form. I have tried different methods of distributing the form. I have saved
the file, sans "send form definition", and sent it to a user; had the user
publish to their personal forms lib; and then used the form to send me a
message, cc himself -> I see no data, he sees data. The same is true when I
initiate the message. Any ideas?????

Did you check the binding on the read layout as well as the compose layout?

Yes, I did. I created all custom user fields via field chooser then populated
the compose page of the form via drag & drop. I then simply copied all the
fields from the compose page to the read page. I addition, I manually checked
the value tab on each control and verified that the souce was correct. I am
attempting a new form disabling the seperate compose/read pages and creating
new user fields from within the properties of the added control this time to
see of that makes a difference. Correct me if I am wrong but if I check the
"send definition with form" check box then the recipient does not need to
publish the form to his personal forms library ... correct? Vice versa, if
the recipient has published the form to his personal forms library then I
should not have the "send form definition..." checked?

Correct on all counts. Do you have the recipient's address set for RTF?

I know the message itself is Rich Text. Do i needn to ensure the recipient's
address is RTF as well? I don't know how to do that in my version of Outlook.
I followed the Help instructions but don't see the option available. I open
the contact, double click on the email address and I get a properties DB with
no Internet Format List option?
Also, I just sent a new version of the form to a user. I used seom of the
standard fields in the form. The user can see this data. So now I'm thinking
the problem is scoped to the user fields I create.

Usually not, but it's worth checking. As I said in my earlier message, double-click the email address to get the recipient format dialog. If these are GAL recipients, it would be set at the server in AD, but a GAL recipient should always support RTF.

How many fields are on this form? What's the size difference between an item using this form that has no data and one with a typical amount of data?

I see the difference. When a contact is a member of your Exchange
organization then a different DB pops up when you double clik the email
address. If the contact has an internet address then you get the DB that
allows you to set the format.

I went into the options -> Mail Format tab and selected the button for
Internet Format... I then set the "Send using Outlook Rich text Format"
option. Should this do the trick? Do you have any ideas why a user would see
dats in standard fields and NOT is custom defined fields?

There are 14 fields. Only half would be filled in by the composer. I saved a
form with no data -> 16kb and then filled in some data ->16kb.

Those sizes make no sense. Is this a published or one-off form?

I have not published the form. I have the form in design mode and have
checked the "send form definition..." check box. I choose Form -> Run this
Form ...; I fill in the fields then send it to the user.

The recipient receives the form and can open it viewing all the custom and
standard fields fine BUT there is no data in the custom fields. The size is
16kb (i verified it).

Also want to add that I can save and close the form, open it and all the data
is there. I can also send the form to myself and all the data is there.
