No Context Menu

Often when I am on a search site I use ctrl/left click to force the link to
open in a new window. I find that after I have done this 15-20 times the
context menu can not be brought up by right clicking. It is also common that
the new window opens but no address appears in the Address bar and the
browser remains blank. Once this happens I am no longer able to force a new
window to open with a ctrl/click or ig the page uses javascript to open a
window this does not work either. Regular navigation still functions. I
must close all instances if IE to clear the problem. This started occuring
prior to installing SP2 for XP Pro and has continued after it's installation.
All patches and updates have been applied. AdAware and Spybot have found
nothing. Virus scans have found nothing. It's almost like there is a memory
leak in IE but I've not observed that the memory usage is larger than normal.

Try Shift-Click or Right-click, Open in new window.

Ctrl-Click may unnecessarily be involving your popup stopper.

Hi John - In IE, Tools|Internet Options, on the General tab click on 'Delete
Files', then check the box 'Delete all offline content', then click on OK.
Also, you might want to get CacheSentry, free, here:
