no contacts showing in outlook 2003

I do not know if this is a vista problem (I am running outlook 2003 in vista
RC2).

In outlook 2003 I can see my contacts in the contacts section, but if when
sending an email and I click the "To" button to choose a contact I get a
message where the contacts should be saying "No entries in this address
book".

I have tried to sort out the problem by removing the address book and adding
a new one with no success.

I wondered if anyone has any advice for me so that I could sort this problem
out.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Russ I shall be saving your reply just in case I need it in the future.

You reply was spot on.

"I bow to you"
"Thank you"

Normal behavior in all versions of Outlook and all OS.
The Outlook Address Book should appear empty. It is simply the container
for your Contacts Folders appearance in the Outlook Address Book.
Just configure your Outlook Address Book correctly. Instructions are
posted here every single day and are available in the KB:

Russ,
I have the same problem, the only difference is when I click on the address
book, it tells me that I cannot access it. Is their a simple way of fixing
this problem. Thanks.

Could you provide some information please? What Outlook version is this? How
are you invoking the Outlook Address Book? How did you configure the Outlook
Address Book? Could you ever access it? What is the precise error message?
