no connection to the internet

I have a problem on my computer I just lost connection to the internet I have
made no changes to any thing and have not put any new software. I'm running
xp home also norton internet security 2004. I just recently got error messege
Microsoft Visual c ++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:c:\programfiles\commonfiles\symantec shared\ccapp.exe
abnormal progam termination
The only way I have connection is if I'm in safe mode. If you have anything
that might help please respond. Thanks

Try uninstalling your Symantec (Norton) Apps. The error is directly
referencing the symantec apps. In safemode, hte program is not running as a
process.
