Try AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy.
Download and install BHODemon and disable
ALL BHO's except for Acrobat Reader.

Also make sure your virus sigs are up to date
then do a complete virus scan.
You might also try Housecall an online scanner
if you can stay online long enough.
