No Bootable CD in Atapi CD ROM

I recently purchased a Laptop computer that runs on WindowsXP, and I
installed GoBack on it, because it has saved me many times on my
Desktop computer. As it normally does during it's installation, the
software prompted that it would restart my computer. I clicked on,
"OK". After it restarted, it went to a screen that says in the last
line, "No Bootable CD in Atapi CD ROM". I never get to the Logo screen.
I have not used this Laptop much, but it was working fine before,
although I never restarted it before or had installed anything into it
before either. What do I have to do to fix this problem? I don't have
any files on it (other than what was in it when it was shipped to me),
but it has the ability to find wireless Internet connections, and I
don't want to lose that by having to reinstall WindowsXP. Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for your response, Merlin. When the computer restarted, the
GoBack disk WAS still in the computer, but after I took the disk out,
turned the computer off and back on again, I got the same message.

if you have the BIOS set to boot from CDROM and there is not a bootable
CDROM in the drive at boot time ...you will get that message

it should just continue to boot from C: ...is there a problem booting up ?
or are you just wondering why the message is there ?

There is a problem booting up. I'll hear the computer running when I
see that message, and then it will just stop. Nothing happens after
that.

Sounds Like a BIOS setting to me. Make sure your Boot Sequence includes your
HDD.

Gimly, how would I do that?

during boot up keep tapping the Del button that should take you into the BIOS (should be a DOS like screen)
In the Bios find the boot sequence( you may have to go into the advnced bios
settings) should say something like
first boot device Floppy
second boot device cdrom
third boot device network

select first boot device
hit pgup/pgdn (or whatever key to change values, it should say in the bottom
right corner) till you see HDD-0, hit enter
press F10 to save and exit
hit Y to accept
then restart the computer
a word of caution, be very careful when modifying the Bios. only change one
setting at a time so you can remember what you changed. be sure what you are
changing before you change it. You can really screw things up and possibly
make the computer unbootable.

let me know how it turns out
