no audio drivers

i had recently up graded from windows 98 to windows 2000
i can not get any sound or play cd's it tell me no
playback devices how can i fix this problem

Windows 2000 will need its own drivers for sound. If the drivers were
not included in the Windows 2000 installation cdrom, then they will have
to be downloaded from the sound card's manufacturer's site, extracted
and installed.
