no audio autoput device in the volume controll panel

Hello,

one of my customer has installed a on-board audio device and it´s available
and ready to use in the device manager of windows xp with service pack II.

The sympthom is that the Adobe Player doesn´t play audio but the Real Player
does play audio. There is also no volume controll icon in the system tray
and it is not possible to set the audio-output device as default device in
the
volume controll panel. The device is not shown in the controll panel.

Please give me some hints how to solve that the audio device is available in
the volume controll in the control panel and audio is possible in the Adobe
Player. Thank you.

yours faithfully,

Dirk Lehmann

Dirk, Real Player is set to be the default media player. In order to
change that you have to rt click any audio file and select
Properties>Open With-Change and select Adobe Player.
