NO AUDIO After Hibernating

I have a recurring problem (i.e., it doesn't happen all the time): after hibernating, all audio is lost—both system sounds and mp3s, etc. I can simply go into standby mode and then come back to get the audio back, but this is a pain in the arse, especially if I've gone online and begun something before I notice.

Any ideas how to solve this odd annoyance?
