Loss of audio after hibernation

I often lose my audio when I turn on my computer after it has been turned
off while it's in hibernation. The only way I can restore the audio is to
restart the computer. I have searched in 'Sounds and Audio' in the Control
Panel when it's happening but could find nothing turned off or muted. Any
ideas on what's happening?

Hi Mike B,

There is a hotfix for this problem from Microsoft.
