No any audio after the video capturing

I do not have any audio after the video capturing from a canon MV700i
camcorder that normally works without problems. The only difference this
time is the audio has been recorded 16 bit instead 12 bit as usual.
Can you help me?

This does seem to be a problem for some people with mm. Try using windv to
capture your dv-avi adn then import into MM.

I could find this different way to solve the problem but the tape is not
aymore in my hands (it was not mine) so I can not try this. Unless record a
small test at 16 bit audio and then try to import.
I've solved the problem moving to analogic on VHS and then recording agin
by my camcorder using 12 bit audio option.
