I have 2 computers on a network. One is XP and the other
is 2000. I can ping the 2000 computer either by name or
IP and it responds, I can see it in Network NeighborHood,
but when I try to browse the shared folders on it, I get
an access denied message. What gives. Thanx in Advance

You need to configure an account on the W2K computer that has the same logon
name/password that you use to log onto the XP machine or enable the guest
account on the W2K machine, which I recommend if only trusted users will be
using the network and you have a properly configured firewall installed to
protect you from the internet or anyone on the internet will be able to
access your shares also. --- Steve
