R

Rohit Singh

I have configured four Windows 2000 professional on two network, two on
each network using 3 routers.

Network1:
1. Two Windows 2000 professional (Named first, second)
2. Network IP address 192.168.55.0/24

Network2:
1. Two Windows 2000 professional (Named third, four)
2. Network IP address 172.16.172.0/24

I am not able to see computer from network neighborhood on Network1 from
Network2 or computer on Network2 from Network1. I also tried with WINS
but it was not visible on network neighborhood.

I am able to ping machine and find computer using ip address. With WINS
I am able to search computer using name, but I want it to be visible on
Network Neighborhoor automatically.

Any help would be appreciable.

Regards,
Rohit Singh.

How did you organize WINS without a server in the network as such? If there
is four computers only, assign the static IPs, create lmhosts file on every
machine, and enable LMHOSTS lookup.
