No access to USB Stick

I just bought a USB 2 Stick. Tryed to get access on a PC with Windows
XP and USB 1.1 ports.
I know it won't be as fast as with USB2 but I should get access anyway,
no? My problem is just that the symbol in the taskbar disappears after
telling me that I don't have a high-velocity-controller. How to get
access to my USB stick?

Thanks for the help

Hi,

You can access the USB stick trough the Explorer. Open Explorer and search
for a new driver letter for expample. E: (Kingston).
The symbol in taskbar is for safe disconnecting the usb-stick before you
take it out
of the USB-slot. This message "I don't have a high-velocity-controller"
means that no USB 2.0 controller is installed, but that's no problem. USB 1.1
can be use.

Hi,

Do you have Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and all updates?
Do you test an other USB-Stick to connect?
Do you test the USB-Stick by an other PC?
Last year I had a problem with a usb-stick. It didn't work and I found
no way. I went to the servicedesk and they said: The Usb-stick was bad. That
was crazy!

Unfortunatly at the moment I have just that stick and that PC. And I
would like to take some data from this PC to an other. So fare without
luck
