No Access to Database

I created a mdw file. As soon as I open the mdb (after joining th new mdw), I
get the message "You do not have permission to open the database. Have the
appropriate person who created the database assign permissions".

When I look at the user and group accounts, I can see the users but cannot
modify anything, even with the wg administrator having admin rights.

Your help is appreciated.
 
You obviously did something more than just 'created a mdw file'. Doing that
alone does not result in no permissions.

Are you saying that you had a secure mdb, lost the mdw, and so created a new
one?

The permissions are stored in the mdb file, while the mdw stores
usernames/passwords/groups/group membership.

Are you using the correct mdw file to open the mdb? Are you logging in as a
user that is a member of the Admins group?

You can't just create a new mdw and expect it to work. You'd need to
carefully ensure that you use the same strings/PIDs when you recreate the
mdw.
 
Check whether you are using the same mdw file as that used for mdb creation.
