NMIndexStoreSrv.exe - Application Error

Hi Folks,

Okay, Got another one, actually many and figured I'd post seperately, and
again, if they are in the wrong spot, please let me know...

Here's what I get:

(0xc0000069) occurred in the application at location 0x0063d480
The instruction at "0x004c462a" referenced memory at "0x00650064". The
memory could not be "read".
The instruction at "0x006405eb" referenced memory at "0x00c7a9bc". The
memory could not be "written".
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000001e) occurred in teh
application at location 0x00640bc8.

Thanks for any insight on how to fix...

The filename rang a bell but it was a dull thud. I'm thinking that the
NM file is part of Nero and specifically with the Nero Scout that it
installs as yet another variation of a desktop search tool (Nero Scout,
Windows Desktop [Search], Google Desktop, Copernic Desktop, and there's
probably more of these). I don't have a need for this file indexing
crap and did not appreciate the Nero install shoving a toolbar in my
Windows taskbar, so Nero Scout got axed right after finding out about
it. More fluff crap in Nero's install to bloat their package to pretend
it has more functionality.

I did a Google search on the filename (no extension) and, yep, it's the
Nero Scout crap. One of the articles was:

-click Start button then click on Run enter this command in the Run input
box and press [OK] button.

regsvr32 /u "%commonprogramfiles%\Ahead\Lib\MediaLibraryNSE.dll"

Run disk cleanup and defrag in safe mode.
