with digital it's much easier to tweak things in the 'development process'

Yes I agree with you 100% there as I have been playing with the RAW images from the shoot and the amount of tweaking one can do to acheive the desired result or accurate result in terms of colors or exposure is really amazing. Its like there is a lab at your fingertips, with film it was not quite like that at all. :)

By the way, which lens did you use for the seascape shoots, I reckon it was 24 mm lens?

some are 24mm - the lens is a nikon 12-24 f4 - it's designed for the fov crop sensor, sigma do a similar range that will cover the image circle needed for 35 mm if that's a concern

when you look at each image there's a little green button marked 'i' top left, click that and it tells you shot details :)

Sil

PS, I never did get around to setting up my own dark room, I'm lead to believe many effects were possible with variable contrast papers and also strange effects with cross processing - guess I missed out on all that but then again now there's no messy chemicals to worry abt :)

edit green button even!

Canon and Nikon command almost 75% of the digital camera market, is that not good enough? Besides, they are specialists and cater to 95% of the professional photographers.

Sony had a tough time even passing Chinese quality control tests, 6 digital cameras out of 9 at the end of last year could not pass the test.

As far as I am concerned Sony is nowhere in sight :D

You are more than welcome to share info about any camera but it would have been more appropriate if you had chosen to create a new thread on Sony DSLR, this is an exclusive thread for the Nikon D200. In forum terminology, your post on Sony DSLR amounts to "hijacking the thread" ;)

TD,

I went over last few posts, I did not mean to be rude, sorry if you felt that way, was not my intention.
