Borrowed from a post Jaling left..."the Dell Latitude D630 has a power saving feature in one of the network interface control programs in control panel."....Failing that you could use regedit to turn it off..

Off the top of me head I can't remember it..... however.....
Unistall the management s/w for the nic/wifi
If needed reload the drivers for nic/wifi
With the management s/w uninstalled Device Manager's options take control
Disable powersaving for both devices in Device Manager.

If it don't work let me know :D

Dear JaLing
Because my Windows has some problems, I prefer to keep my drivers unchanged. Thanks a lot for your valuable notes very much
