Nforce2 ultra 400 and SATA driver performance / issues

Hi there, I have a soltek FRN2-RL motherboard with Promise Fasttrack SATA
controller.

I have plugged in a Seagate 120 gig SATA150 drive. Vista seems to turn it
off (either that or my PSU is overloaded :p ) and when I access the drive it
is very very slow and eventually crashes explorer and it needs to restart.

Initially on install, Vista didn't havea clue about the driver needed so I
installed the XP driver from the motherboard chipset drivers.

Anyone else exerienced this with Vista B2 ?

thanks.
