When I click on news that I have put on the main toolbar,
it opens to the list of files within Outlook Express. The
newsreader does not open. How can I fix this?

Outlook Express IS the news reader for Outlook.

OE is also a newsreader. But it is not the same program as Outlook,
despite the similar name. Please look for a group with the name
outlookexpress (one word).
