Newsreader Video Issue

Good day,
With Outlook Express, I could combine and decode .wmv or .mov files and just
double click the icon to play. This no longer works with Vista's new mail
application. I can't even save the file and play it. "Format unknown".

Does anyone know how to play the .wmv or .mov files from the newsreader like
OE did? Tried so many options to no avail.

Outlook Express did not play the file nor will Windows Mail nor Outlook nor
Eudora or others.

There must be an application set up to play those. .MOV is Quicktime so you
will have to install it to get it to plays those.

Why it's not playing .wmv could be anything from something else taking over
the extension, no coded installed Media Player never being set up or a host
of others.

But OE, WinMail and other e-mail clients do not play files.
