use to have a nifty thing going that when i left a newsgroup to look at
another one it would automatically catch up on any un read messages. Anyone
know how to turn that feature on? OE packed up on me and now I can't find it
again!

Hi Adam,

Try Tools > Options > Read and check the box near the bottom that says "Mark
all messages as read when exiting a newsgroup.
