Newsgroups - where are they?

  • Thread starter Thread starter ripper

Only the M$ news server(s) will close on that date, ya ****ing moron. The
Usenet newsgroups will continue on *real* NNTP Usenet servers such as
http://individual.net and everybody can continue to use their preferred
client (such as OE, Pan, Agent, etc) or the web-based interface.

The Mini-Virtual-Pricks "MVP" such as yourself are the ones disseminating
the bogus information, a.k.a. lies.

Being the pompous HoopleHead that you are, you still don't get it. I bet
your 75 employees have a lot to say behind your back.

Then why do you keep using it?

When I've posted to Windoze newsgroups using Pan or tin on Linux, the
'droids pounce on the fact for purposes of childish argumentation. One
should of course use the OE-QuoteFix wrapper rather than native OE.

One thing OE does excel at is the killfile though; it's much easier than
creating a scoring rule.

Oh, I entirely understand your constant, cowardly nym-shifting ... you just
can't stand being killfiled, can you?

I used to use OE way back when. What convinced me to give it up was the
auto compacting after 100 closes and the pain in the ass to back it up
and restore it. I find Thunderbird to be very similar and you can use it
in both *nix and Windows. I don't use kill files. I use self control,
although sometimes I lose that control ;-)

From your headers: Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1106

If you don't get SP3 and all post-SP3 updates installed, you're likely not
to see *anything* much longer on that WinXP box, d00d.

Your tale of woe sounds grossly overstated, as most people have migrated to
*real* news servers such as http://individual.net long ago in order to
continue using using Usenet. That information has been posted here several
times per week for many months at least, so your "life blood" is
under-utilized.

Micro$oft is an information Nazi, and only wants you to see what *they* want
you to see.

Note: Google Groups carries Usenet Newsgroups
