Vista newsgroup?

Sorry for being OT, but I can't find the Vista newsgroup in the Google
Groups hierarchies. Does it exist?

I'm wanting to ask a question about upgrading between the various
versions of Vista and whether that is cost-effective.

I'm looking at getting a new PC and if I get is with Either Vista
Ultimate or Business, I can get a downgrade license to run Windows XP
on it. So the cheapest is to get Business, but if, in the longer term
I decide to run Vista, then I might want the phot stuff thats in
Ultimate.

I think the upgrade cost on the MS Vista home site is something like
$139, whereas the incremental cost in the OEM pre-install between
Business and Ultimate is merely $59.

What are the odds that XP will fall out of favor or that Vista will
become the defacto OS before Win 7 is released?

That's what you get by using Google instead of a News Client.

The following NNTP URL will take your default News Client to;
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general

There are many, as Tom [Pepper] Willet pointed out.

I'll just add that Google Groups is an excellent place to search the
groups for information you're looking for, but, like any web-based
method, a poor way to participate in them.

Do yourself a favor and switch to a newsreader, such as Outlook
Express, which comes with Windows XP, or Windows Mail, which comes
with Vista. See

microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
And it's on Google Groups as well as 'the correct method of access' - via a
newsreader e.g. Microsoft Outlook Express.
