Hi NG

* I was using OL2K2 on WinXPpro with Exch2K on Win2Kserv.
To view NG, I would select ... View --> Go To --> News. This would then
open OE6, ...

* I have now upgraded to OL2K3 on WinXPpro with Exch2K on Win2Kserv. By
default there is no visible *Go --> News*.
According to help:
1.. On the Standard toolbar, click the Toolbar Options arrow .
2.. Point to Add or Remove Buttons, and then click Customize.
3.. Click the Commands tab.
4.. In the Categories list, click Go.
5.. In the Commands list, click News, and drag it, without releasing the
mouse, until it rests over the Go menu. When the menu displays a list of
commands, point to where you want the command to appear, and then release
the mouse.
I followed these instructions, and all worked well.
To view NG, I would select ... Go --> News. This would then open OE6, ...

HOWEVER: We had a power failure, and the News link is no longer in the
menu. It is also no longer available in the Commands list (see point 5
above).

I have uninstalled Off2K3 ... Rebooted ... Installed Off2K3 ... Rebooted
Still no News link available.

To get to Newsgroups, I need to open OE6 myself. I know that this is what
OL is doing for me, but I'd rather have OL working properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi NG

I'm not sure what the attachment is. I can only assume that it had
something to do with the picture that was included in the text that I copied
form the help files.

Make sure that OE is listed as your default newsreader in Control Panel->
Internet Options-> tab Programs
If News still isn't a button to add reset the toolbar by renaming outcmd.dat
to outcmd.old

For other options see;
