I tired posting this last wk but somehow it didn't show up, so I am trying
again.
I am thinking of changing my ISP. I know if I change my email addr. I change
the server name in OE. I assume the same goes for Newsgroups. But what I'd
like to know is if I have Newsgroups already do I have to unsubscribe /
resubscribe to them over again or will they carry over? TIA

Assuming that you are connecting to your ISP's newsgroup server (not the
Microsoft server), all you have to do is open OE, click on tools, click on
accounts, highlight your news account, click properties, click the server
tab and enter the new news server name. The newsgroups you are subscribed
to will continue to work providing the new ISP's news server carries those
newsgroups.

Hi Larry

Your first post did show up, and got quite a few replies. You can read
them here:

Nightowl, thanks fo rpointing me to the old msg. I don't know why I wasn't
able ot see them before.
Obviously I am not using newgroups via my browser. I do use OE.
My ISP has me using email addr. and ISP name. But as pointed out I do think
changing the
ISP server name *should* do it. W/maybe the exception of 2 NG all my groups
are MS.public...
The other 2 are comp.sys...
