Newsgroup Postings

I'm using Outlook 6 to send newsgroup messages. Occasionally I need to post a message to more than one group, and although I've followed instructions in Outlook's help section and the posting appears in the sent items folder, nothing appears in the newsgroups themselves.

Messages to single ngs appear ok.

Any solutions?

Outlook Express not Outlook.

To send your message to multiple newsgroups on the same news server, in the
New Message dialog box, click the icon next to Newsgroups. In the Pick
Newsgroups dialog box, click one or more newsgroups from the list (hold down
the CTRL key to select multiple newsgroups), and then click Add. You can
choose from all newsgroups or only those you subscribe to by clicking Show
only subscribed newsgroups.

You can send a given message to more than one newsgroup at a time only if
all the newsgroups are on the same news server. To post a message to
newsgroups on other news servers, create a separate message for each news
server.

Example:
microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics, microsoft.public.windowsxp.general,
microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support,
microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers

Thanks - so even if they are listed on my news server, I might not be able
to send to all?

Not if you do not add the groups correctly. And maybe other things that you
have no control over.

Sometimes posts just don't make it to the groups. I had one post today that
I sent twice and still never made it. <shrug> msnews.microsoft.com

I have no idea what I'm doing which will soon become obvious. What I'm
TRYING to do is figure out how to post a question about Windows XP,
specifically: What steps do I take to enable my WinFax Lucent Modem? I have
RoadRunner high-speed connection and was using AOL for e-mail and web
browsing. I lost access to AOL. Their tech support tried everything under
the sun without success and finally told me to reinstall it. When that didn't
work and the task manager showed WinFax Lucent Modem running, AOL told me to
disable the modem and try again to reinstall AOL. It still didn't work, and
I've given up trying to restore it. Now I want to enable the modem again, but
I can't remember where I went to disable the dang thing and can't seem to
figure out what to do about it or where to ask. I know this is the wrong
place to be asking but it was the only place I could find that would let me
say ANYTHING so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm hoping there is a patient,
kindhearted person out there who will take pity on an old dog trying to learn
a new trick and direct me to a source for technical help with Windows XP 2000
