Thank you for saying what I didn't want to say, because I expected it
to start an argument.

Huh?? Criticizing someone of a personal attack, when it clearly wasn't,
is more likely to start an argument!

What weird behaviour for a MVP.

What a weird opinion (even for someone from the U.K.). Where is it
written that MVP's can't be people?

Nowhere I expect. But it's hardly going to help maintain his reputation
as an expert.
It's more likely to denigrate it. I, for one, now have less respect for him.

Although there is this:

Q8: What does Microsoft expect of its MVPs?

A8: Because MVP status is awarded based on past contributions, Microsoft
has no expectations of MVPs beyond the expectations of courtesy,
professionalism, code of conduct, and adherence to the community rules
that we ask of all Microsoft community members. These rules can be found
on the Microsoft Communities Rules of Conduct page.

I think in this case he may have been lacking in courtesy.

The only drawback I noticed in my OE is that source edit isn't available
when composing an e-mail from the newsreader. Going to the Inbox
to get the source edit to work, closes the newsreader. No big deal at
all - just something I noticed. The similarities between these applications
just scream for integration.

Try Thunderbird. Source edit is available in mail or newgroups by Ctrl-u.
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

And using the Add-on TB Header Tools Extension, you can edit the headers
of email or newsgroup messages, which is very useful:

The BIGGEST drawback in MS mail clients is the delimiter bug. MS
clients will insert a delimiter (dash dash space "-- ") when someone is
replying above a quote and inserts a sig file. This is INCORRECT usage
of the delimiter. But MS has never fixed it. And MS clients IGNORE the
delimiter when replying to a post that has one, another bug.

So when someone using an MS client replies above a quote (top posting)
and uses a sig file, a proper newsreader removes everything below the
delimiter (which is what is was designed for), which wipes out the text
the person is replying to. So someone can never go to the last post in
a thread and see the question and answer provided in one post. They
have to sift through the complete thread.

Of course a combination of top and bottom posting makes that impossible
to follow also, but that isn't a bug, that's personal preference.
