I teach online and in OE you had a function where you could drag and drop
like messages to folders instead of copying and pasting each one. Does
Windows Mail have this feature?

Second, all of my messages are downloading, as in OE, what could be done to
make sure I see all of my student's posts.

Yes, drag and drop still works, both ways, folders to mail and mail to
folders. I don't understand the second query. ?? Could you please
re-write the question.

appears when I have tried.

will show, for example, 350 messages, 300 read, 50 not downloaded. How can I
get all of the posts to download, I've reset the newsgroup, even unsubscribe
and subscribe. Any advice?

I have no problems with D&D from news folders to local folders.
Where are you trying to D&D them to?

To get the other headers you have two options, Tools>get next ### headers.
Or
tools>options>read, remove the checkmark from get 300 headers, it will then
get them all on next Sync or visit the group.

Make sure the news files are downloaded to you workstation before you drag
and drop. One way to do this is to use the Synchronize all option. You can
tell this my looking at the file icon. If it's torn, it has not been
downloaded so that when you try to drag and drop it, you will get the
"circle X". Once it is downloaded you will see am intact icon and then you
can drag and drop the file wherever you want.

As for your second problem. Go into option > read then in the news section
set the number as high as you'd want. There is a limit. You will then have
to access your reader more often to get them all. This number is quite high
however.

You sometimes have to click on Tools, then Get Next 300 Headers -
even more than once if it does not download all the headers. This
doesn't download the bodies of the messages, though.

Hey Bob F., thanks, I'm familiar with the sync(s) we have do that constantly,
but it still didn't work. I guess the system won't allow it. Thanks for
trying. Now, I don't have the header box checked as per tech support for the
school of which I teach.

Now, the example of the what I am attempting to "D&D", is a similar message
to all the students, wherein in I have to only change the student's name.
Each student has their own forum (newsgroup) and the system won't allow that
convenience.
